Not your typical nerd herder, Andrew is a dedicated weekend warrior. When he’s not getting around the basketball courts, he can be found enjoying a spot of waterskiing or some serious snowboarding (depending on the season). Born and raised in Ballarat, Andrew is a highly skilled practitioner in property development and property-related transactions, business restructuring and planning, sale/acquisition of businesses, wealth management and self-managed superannuation, tax planning and minimisation, finance applications and funding and succession planning.

Chris is an approachable family man who combines his affable nature with a passion for sport (namely, cricket and football) to bond with his clients. Chris also has extensive experience working with clients in small business across a range of industries, with particular expertise in agriculture. Being our in-house self-managed superannuation fund specialist with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Chris is our go-to man for all of those precarious questions, excelling in tax minimisation in the transition to retirement years & succession planning. Chris is always looking for opportunities to provide extra advice to assist his clients in achieving better outcomes.

Peter Rutley

Peter Rutley

Director

Born and raised in Ballarat, Peter is passionate about supporting his local community. He is the treasurer for his beloved Buninyong Football Club. Peter is a specialist in business and taxation planning, profit improvement and business structuring. He also offers extensive expertise in personal and business income tax cash flow management, analysis and budgeting.

In the unlikely event that conversation is ever a struggle with James, we suggest bringing up sport. He just loves it (namely footy and cricket). Having progressed from being a trainee accountant with the firm in 2012, James is now on the path of becoming a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants where he commenced his studies in 2016.

Chris is another Ballarat born and bred accountant. His number crunching is not only applied in the office as he can whip up just about any stat you could ask for from the NBA or AFL. Chris has over 4 years experience and is a qualified CPA and although Chris has no kids at present he is never short of a dad joke or two.

Daina MacLeod

The latest addition to the AC Family in July 2017, Daina has over 15 years experience in public practice working in Tax, Self-Managed Superannuation and has a background in I.T. Daina is passionate about working closely with small to medium businesses to improve their internal business structures, gain insight into strategic direction and to help them achieve their personal and business goals. Daina spends a lot of time in the community with her family, is never far away from a tennis or netball court and is the Chair of the Board for the Karden Disability Support Foundation.

It’s Danielle’s superb attention to detail that has made her an invaluable member of our team. Having joined our firm in 2012, she is (proudly!) one of our graduate accountants and is now studying to become a CPA. Danielle is a member of Legacy, and is passionate about supporting Australian families of deceased and incapacitated veterans. When she’s not working hard for her clients, Danielle volunteers her time to fundraising and Legacy awareness campaigns.

Kristina recently joined our firm as a graduate accountant after completing a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in accounting and is currently studying to become a CPA. Kristina is enthusiastic about her work and looks forward to developing her professional and accounting skills further in order to help clients achieve their business goals. Study and family commitments permitting, Kristina likes to head off camping and fishing in her spare time.

Ballarat born and raised, Mikaela has recently joined our team as a graduate accountant after completing her Bachelor of Commerce, Majoring in Accounting and Bachelor of Management double degree. Mikaela is passionate about her work and is a breath of fresh air around the office. Outside of the office, Mikaela enjoys spending time with her fur baby Milo.

Emma is our true office all-rounder; there’s simply no task too big or too small for her. Recently returning to our firm from living on the Gold Coast, Emma has rejoined our company as an assistant accountant and office manager. Outside of office hours, Emma volounteers her time as the treasurer of the Webbcona Bowling Club

Sophie has lived in Ballarat for most of her life and has many friends and family here. Previously coming from a property management and administration background, Sophie has a strong focus on customer service and is the friendly face to meet and greet our clients. In her down time, Sophie enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
